LEADER Job Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day work of his/her
crew, including: its work schedule, job assignments, plants and
materials, equipment and power tools, cost effectiveness, work
quality, training and safety. Ensures that all assignments are
implemented and completed. Sets example for all crew members.
Oversees safe loading and driving of vehicle. Compensation &
Schedule (NEW) · Pay: $19.50–$22.00/hr · Overtime: Time-and-a-half
premium for snow removal hours · Schedule: Monday–Friday, start
~6:50 AM; variable end time (3:30–6:00 PM) · Location: Kensington
(20895) or Rockville (20850), MD · Year-round work guaranteed Major
Duties: 1. Supervise assigned laborers and ensure their compliance
with all work orders, company policies, regulations, and work
assignments. 2. Ensure crew readiness for each daily work
assignment, including crew preparation, truck, trailer, and
motorized equipment operation, power and hand tools, job materials.
Arrive at work ready and fully prepared to leave the shop promptly
at assigned time. 3. Ensures safe and legal and proper loading,
unloading and driving of trucks 4. Cultivate and maintain positive
attitude and pro-active work style. Motivate and work with assigned
crewmembers as a team, build and maintain an atmosphere of
company-wide morale. 5. Complete all assigned tasks and daily work
orders as directed 6. Works with crew to ensure the timely, safe
and cost-effective completion of all assignments. 7. Ensure that
work meets or exceeds all company standards and is in compliance
with company policies and procedures. 8. Uses good judgment to take
initiative in correcting problems that may occur. 9. Attends
classes and seminars to develop leadership and technical skills and
training. Specific Responsibilities: 10. Follow daily work orders
from Division Manager or Supervisor, and confirm a thorough
understanding of all assignments. 11. Secure, organize and safely
transport all equipment, tools, and materials required for each
job. 12. Work with laborers loading and off-loading all equipment,
tools, and materials from vehicles to ensuring safe off-loading,
safe staging, use and storage of all items at a client’s property
and in JSLI yard. 13. Understand and operate all equipment and
tools safely and in accordance with manufacturers operating
instructions. Wear all personal protective clothing and equipment
as required by company and in accordance with OSHA standards. 14.
Report work progress, problems and needs to the appropriate
supervisor throughout the day. 15. Report safety hazards on the job
site to Division Manager or Supervisor. 16. Report personnel
problems to the appropriate supervisor in a timely fashion. 17.
Reports vehicle, equipment, tool maintenance and repair needs to
the appropriate supervisor in a timely fashion. 18. Interact with
client on a regular basis as requested 19. Respond to all
communications from JSLI management in a timely manner. 20. Ensure
that each job-site is left clean when crew departs Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years prior work in industry · Willingness to learn
English · MUST have clean driving record · MUST have supervisory /
leadership experience · Strong preference for candidates with
landscaping experience · Must be hands-on and work alongside the
crew · Avoid candidates with unstable work history · Bilingual is a
