Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Located in
the vibrant Washington DC area, this K-12 opportunity is ideal for
Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) seeking a contract role
supporting students in elementary and middle schools. The position
offers flexibility with full-time hours (37.5 per week, Monday
through Friday) and the possibility of part-time engagement
(minimum 20 hours per week). Assignments involve working at no more
than two schools, with caseloads typically around 50 students,
ensuring manageable and impactful service delivery. Key
Qualifications and Requirements: - Active Virginia SLP licensure
(CCC certification required; Clinical Fellows considered with
supervision provided) - Willingness to complete a Virginia
Department of Social Services background check and TB test promptly
- No Department of Education certification necessary - Exceptional
communication skills suited for school settings - Openness to
working across various schools within a reasonable commute from
Alexandria, VA - Interest from Speech-Language Pathology Assistants
(SLPAs) encouraged, though not required Primary Responsibilities: -
Deliver high-quality speech-language pathology services across
elementary and middle school age groups within assigned schools -
Maintain caseloads adhering to a maximum of 55 students, typically
around 50 - Collaborate with educational staff to support
individualized student goals - Comply with state regulations and
school policies, including timely credentialing and background
checks - Adapt to varying school environments with an assigned
maximum of two school locations This contract role begins as soon
as possible and extends through May 29, 2026. Candidates will
participate in prescreen interviews scheduled flexibly between 9-11
a.m. and 2-3 p.m. EST to assess suitability. To engage with this
