Job Description Location: Ellicott City / Columbia, MD Schedule: •Varies by school campus •37.5 hours per week Pay Rate: Up to $50 based on experience Duration: •Academic Year 2024-2025 Job Description/Responsibilities Early Childhood (Ages 3–5) •Teach children with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in inclusive settings. •AM/PM sessions with approximately 16 students total, split between sessions. •Full-day classes with a maximum of 8 students per class. •Must hold a license that qualifies to teach ages 3–5. •Preference for candidates with substantial early childhood experience. Elementary •Provide resource support for students in general education settings, including accommodations and some pullout services. •Regional program openings include more pullout services with a focus on behavioral needs. •Flexible for candidates with the right mindset; experience preferred but not required. •License must include qualifications for teaching Kindergarten but does not need to cover severely impacted certifications. •No fully self-contained classes. Qualifications Required: •Valid Maryland Special Education Teaching License and Core Subject Supplemental Certification. •Open to new graduates. Preferred: •3 years of experience. •Extensive background in early childhood education for candidates applying for early childhood-focused roles.
