Job Description:
he PLC Electronics Technician is responsible for the testing,
troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of Programmable
Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), motor
control systems, and industrial communication networks. This role
plays a critical part in supporting efficient and reliable
manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Test and diagnose
faulty electronic equipment using diagnostic tools and software.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Troubleshoot, repair, and install PLCs , HMIs , and inverter
control packages. Maintain and install fiber optic and copper-based
communication networks. Collaborate with the IT department on data
transfer and reporting integration. Create and maintain
documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training
materials. Ensure all work complies with NEC , NFPA , and IEC codes
and standards. Respond to after-hours service calls and emergencies
as needed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for
system reliability and efficiency. Follow all company safety
policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) , and food safety
standards. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (required).
Minimum 2 years of experience in PLC , HMI , and motor control
system development, installation, and troubleshooting. Specialized
Training & Knowledge In: PLC programming (ladder logic, function
block, statement list). HMI configuration (screen design,
animation, alarm setup). Structured documentation and organized
program logic. Electrical and mechanical diagram reading and
interpretation. Skills and Certifications: Troubleshooting, repair,
and installation of PLCs, HMIs, and inverter controls (Required)
PLC programming using ladder logic (Required) Experience with
industrial codes and standards : NEC, NFPA, IEC (Required) Strong
analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work
independently and adjust to flexible work hours. Preferred
Qualifications: Associate degree or technical certification in
Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or a
related field. Experience in a food processing or high-speed
manufacturing environment. Familiarity with SCADA systems and data
