Job Location:First Farmers and Merchants Bank, 816 South Garden Street, Columbia, TN 38401Education Level:Bachelor's DegreeJob Type:Full TimeAdditional Information:VEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Referral of Protected VeteransEOE Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/DisabledJob Responsibilities:To originate and supervise a portfolio of business banking clients with responsibilities including business development, loan structuring, issue identification and mitigation, credit presentation development, client acceptance of term sheets and commitment letters, application completion, needs gathering, and assisting loan closings.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain a network of external referral sources: Identify Business Banking needs not addressed by traditional lending programs (25%).
• Identify and call on prospects and referrals: Coordinate internal efforts to develop Business Banking lending within local markets (25%).
• Develop and enhance processes: Improve origination, servicing, and liquidation procedures related to Business Banking (20%).
• Drive revenue growth: Lead strategic planning and sales performance in Business Banking (10%).
• Promote Business Banking lending unit: Foster relationships within the bank and communicate with staff and management on efficiency improvements (10%).
• Assist in development of procedures: Support processing, underwriting, and closing procedures (5%).
• Perform other duties: As assigned (5%).Performance Measurements:
• Compliance with the bank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Achieve loan volume targets.
• Maintain SBA loan portfolio standards.
• Ensure SBA lending operations comply with policies and laws.
• Maintain a professional environment.
• Complete training to enhance knowledge and productivity.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act.Knowledge and Skills:Experience:Five to eight years of related experience.Education:Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications recognized in the industry.Interpersonal Skills:Advanced conflict resolution, presentation skills, influencing others, diplomacy, and trust are essential. High interpersonal skills are critical for success.Other Skills:Experience in analyzing financial statements, assessing business viability, excellent communication and PR skills, and proficiency with related software.Physical Requirements:Frequent movement within the office, operating computers and office machinery, and potential travel to branches or other locations. Routine use of standard office equipment.
