Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Baltimore, MD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,469 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Baltimore, Maryland, 21201! Job Title: CICU/CVICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVICU Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required; will accept first-time travelers with strong skills and experience in CVICU License: RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI; CCRN preferred Must-Have: - EOW (Every Other Weekend) required - Every other weekend and holidays required - Required to float within specialty as needed Description: CICU/CVICU RN position available for night shifts. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVICU setting. The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of cardiac conditions. Common diagnoses include cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmias. Nursing responsibilities include bedside central line insertions, bronchoscopy, and CRRT. Specialized equipment such as Impella, VAD, IABP, and cooling devices will be used. Patient-to-nurse ratios are typically 1:1, but may involve up to 3 patients with stable, lower acuity. Travelers will float within the hospital and must be comfortable with no restrictions. Candidates must have proficiency in managing arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients. This role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is essential, as on-call duties may be required.
