Description: West Virginia University School of Medicine and the
Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences
seek a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist (ranks available:
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The
successful candidate will be expected to practice in Martinsburg,
West Virginia and will also provide remote services. Duties : The
successful candidate will practice in the areas of Maternal-Fetal
Medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the
successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching
medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications :
Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be
eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have
completed an ACGME accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency
program, as well as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) fellowship
program. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in
MFM by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. All
qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. The

doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals use a team-based,
multidisciplinary approach to help women experiencing high-risk
pregnancies. They use advanced imaging techniques to accurately
diagnose babies with birth defects prenatally and connect parents
with neonatologists and pediatric subspecialists when needed. Our
experts work to develop a treatment plan specific to each patient’s
unique situation. The WVU Medicine Maternal-Fetal Care Team uses a
coordinated approach to help women experiencing high-risk
pregnancies. The services we provide include: Care and counseling
before pregnancy begins (preconception care) for women who have
increased medical, surgical, or genetic risks Integrated care for
