Opportunity – Travel Registered Nurse – ICU Step Down / Brain
Health / Long-Term Ventilator Care – Maryland Start Date: March 2,
2026 Location: Baltimore, Maryland Compensation: Details provided
to qualified applicants Schedule: Float between three specialized
units; every other weekend required; every other holiday required
Highlights: Float across three dynamic units: ICU Step Down (40
beds), Brain Health Unit (60 beds), and Long-Term Ventilator Unit
(18-23 beds) Care for complex medical, neurological, and chronic
respiratory patients requiring intermediate to long-term care Work
with advanced equipment including ventilators, telemetry, high flow
nasal cannula, chest tubes, PICC lines, and tracheostomies Cerner
charting system; comprehensive orientation provided Tuesday through
Friday during day shift First-time travelers accepted; locals
welcome at the same rate Interdisciplinary support including
respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, rapid response
teams, and social services Requirements: Active Maryland RN license
or Compact state license required at time of submission Minimum 2
years of recent acute care nursing experience required Current ACLS
and BLS certifications required Experience with ICU step down,
medical-surgical, telemetry, and/or ventilator care strongly
preferred LTAC and Trauma Level I experience preferred Proficiency
with ventilator modes, central line management, complex wound care,
dysrhythmia interpretation, and management of critically ill
patients Strong organizational and critical thinking skills;
ability to assess rapidly changing patient conditions Flexibility
to float within scope across multiple units Strict adherence to
time and attendance policies; zero tolerance for tardiness or
unexcused absences Availability to work every other weekend and
every other major holiday (New Year's Day, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) Why It's a
