Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Arlington, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - IMC /n/n Job Details: /n • Float position requiring willingness to work on IMC, Tele 1 (cardiac), Tele 2 (non-cardiac), and M/S units /n• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required /n• No call responsibilities /n• 4:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends /n• 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week contract period /n• 3 years of nursing experience required with travel experience preferred /n• Must have active Virginia or Compact license in hand at time of submission /n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Cardiac Telemetry /n• NIH certification preferred /n• PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required /n• Experience with management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, rapid response teams required /n• Pre/Post cardiac catheterization experience required /n• Central line and PICC line management required /n• Starting IVs preferred /n• Heparin protocols knowledge required /n• Must be able to manage and titrate cardiac drips /n• Traumatic brain injury experience preferred /n• Peripheral nerve block catheters experience preferred /n• Surgical drains experience preferred /n• Isolation precautions knowledge required /n• Wound care/wound vac experience preferred /n• Epic charting system experience required /n• Must attend Epic training class (accelerated or 2-day) /n• Up to 7 hours of non-billable modules required during orientation /n• Care for pulmonary, cardiac, and trauma patients requiring advanced airway management /n• Work with patients on ventilators, high flow oxygen, BIPAP, various cardiac drips, and chest tubes /n• Treat conditions including CHF, MI, unstable angina, pericardial disease, dysrhythmias, and med/surg overflow patients /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates as a smoke and nicotine-free environment with a focus on intermediate care services.
