Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - CVICU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in cardiac surgery intensive care unit with rotating shifts - several weeks on one schedule then switch /n• Care for 1-2 patients with diagnoses including CABGs, valve repair/replacements, aortic surgeries, VADs, total artificial hearts, and heart/liver/kidney transplants /n• Handle thoracic cases, esophagectomy and vascular surgeries /n• Weekend coverage required every other weekend /n• 36 hours of orientation provided /n• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 14-bed unit with daily census of 13 /n• Minimum 2 years of experience required with CSICU/CVICU experience at level 1 facility /n• Level I trauma experience and academic facility experience required /n• EPIC charting experience required - no exceptions /n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS /n• Must have experience with CRRT, IABP, recovering post-op cardio-thoracic surgery, ECMO, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring /n• Provide oversight for circulatory assist devices including Heartmate II and III LVAD, CentriMag RVAD/LVAD, Heartware HVAD /n• Work with specialized equipment including Endtool and NXSTAGE CRRT /n• Handle extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, continuous renal replacement therapy, and intra-aortic balloon pump procedures /n• BSN preferred /n• Virginia or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal /n• Natural nail policy in effect /n• May float within scope if needed /n• Complete required modules during orientation week /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center operates a specialized 14-bed cardiac surgery intensive care unit providing comprehensive care for complex cardiac procedures and transplants. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services.
