Job Description:
MedStar Health seeks an experienced Nursing Professional
Development Specialist for our Perioperative department, dedicated
to advancing nursing practices and ensuring superior patient
outcomes in perioperative care. This role focuses on professional
education, competency development, and evidence-based practice
facilitation to uphold excellence in healthcare delivery within our
leading not-for-profit network. The specialist will collaborate
with clinical staff and management to design and implement
education and training, aligned with the latest standards and
technological advancements in perioperative nursing. Assess
educational needs and design training programs for perioperative
nursing staff. Implement and evaluate professional development
activities to ensure compliance with national standards and
regulatory requirements. Facilitate evidence-based practice changes
by promoting research and quality improvement outcomes. Serve as a
clinical expert and resource for perioperative nursing staff.
Collaborate with healthcare team leaders to address workflow and
patient care improvements. Strong clinical skills in perioperative
nursing Ability to design and implement effective training and
development programs Expertise in evidence-based practice and
quality improvement Excellent communication and leadership skills
Proficient in utilizing healthcare technology and patient care
