Job Description:
MedStar Health seeks a compassionate and skilled Occupational
Therapist to deliver exceptional in-home care within St. Mary's
County on a per diem basis. This role is ideal for professionals
dedicated to personalized, patient-first healthcare, offering
therapeutic support that advances the independence and health of
each patient within the comfort and safety of their own homes. The
successful candidate will collaborate with other healthcare
professionals to ensure holistic and continuous care. Assess
patient health needs and daily living activities, developing
treatment plans accordingly. Implement therapeutic processes to
improve patient's functional abilities in their home environment.
Educate patients and families on proper home health management and
adaptive strategies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to
ensure continuity of care. Regularly document patient progress and
adjust treatment plans as needed. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Ability to work independently Proficiency in
creating and implementing tailored treatment plans Comfortable
using healthcare databases and telehealth platforms Expertise in
therapeutic best practices and patient evaluation Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Licensed
Occupational Therapist in the state of Maryland Valid driver's
license and reliable transport CPR and Basic Life Support
certifications
