(DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as
the Dental Program Specialist in the Health Care Services Division.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: This
position supports the administrative work of the DMAS Cardinal Care
Smiles (CCS) Dental Unit. Duties include, but are not limited to:
assisting the Cardinal Care Smiles Contract Administrator in
day-to-day oversight of all contractual requirements and reporting;
ensuring accurate payment of contractor claims; review of financial
reporting for accuracy prior to submission to fiscal for payment;
establishing and keeping current all files and records for the
Cardinal Care Smiles program administration; preparation, review
and filing of reports (weekly, monthly. quarterly, annually);
responding to inquiries from providers and public regarding the
Cardinal Care Smiles program, and dental benefits under Medicaid,
managing the Cardinal Care Smiles website, and; providing
administrative support to DMAS Dental team and the Dental Advisory
Committee (DAC). Duties also include review of dental appeals and
participation in CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services)
audits of dental claims. The business needs for this position have
in office requirements to include but are not limited to attending
dental advisory committee meetings twice a year. The position you
are applying for is an Hourly/Wage position. Hourly (wage)
employees may not work more than an average of 29 hours a week and
cannot exceed 1500 hours during their employment year. This
position does not include health insurance, retirement or leave.

meet these minimum qualifications: Knowledge/experience of Medicaid
and health care programs and/or operations. Knowledge/experience in
developing statistical reports and using different software
applications to produce reports. Knowledge/experience in providing
internal reporting on performance and operational metrics.
Knowledge/experience researching, evaluating, and reporting on
complex issues and/or investigating and responding to concerns and
complaints. Considerable knowledge/experience with the use of
Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Knowledge/Experience interpretation and application of federal,
state laws/regulations. Experience in meeting deadlines. Experience
with internal/external stakeholders. Knowledge/experience
conducting web-based research as well as proficiency in updating
content for web pages. Knowledge/experience in maintaining report
logs/trackers (on-time receipt, completeness, version/date, owner).
Additional Considerations Competitive candidates should meet these
additional considerations: Experience working with vendors,
providers, or customers in a service or healthcare setting.
