Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with ARDMS certification and 2 years of hospital-based experience for a varied shift contract. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is based in a hospital setting within the general ultrasound unit - Work schedule includes Monday through Wednesday 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM and Saturday 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM - No on-call duties; weekend shifts included - Potential to float within the department, limited to competencies - Patient population consists primarily of hospitalized adults - Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a local rate - Responsibilities include performing general ultrasound studies on adult inpatients - Must be comfortable floating within the department as needed - Modules must be completed pre-start, with additional modules as necessary during orientation - No return staff unless separated from prior employment for at least 1 year - No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during the first two weeks - Scrub/dress code information to be provided during onboarding /n /n Requirements/n - Current ARDMS certification required - BLS certification required - Minimum of 2 years experience as an ultrasound technologist, preferably with inpatient hospital experience - Valid state license required if applicable - Two professional supervisor references from the past 2 years required - Flu vaccination required /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-658017.
