nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating access barriers to
healthcare for individuals with chronic and rare conditions. We
partner with patients, providers, and donors to deliver
compassionate, compliant, and innovative support services
nationwide. This position is primarily remote; however, it requires
the ability to report in person to the organization's office
located in Midlothian, Virginia as needed based on operational and
business requirements. To meet this expectation, employees must
reside within 50 miles of the Midlothian office and be able to
reliably report onsite when required. Reasonable accommodations

Overview The IT Manager provides strategic and operational
leadership for Accessia Health's information technology function.
This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security,
and compliance of IT systems that support patient services, donor
engagement, and organizational operations. The IT Manager leads
internal IT staff and external vendors, manages enterprise systems
and integrations, and partners with leadership to leverage
technology in support of Accessia Health's mission and growth. Key
Responsibilities Lead and manage Accessia Health's IT operations,
systems, and infrastructure to ensure availability, performance,
and security Supervise and support IT staff, contractors, and
external service providers Exercise independent judgment in
prioritizing IT initiatives, allocating resources, and managing
technology-related risks Oversee cybersecurity, access controls,
and data protection measures to safeguard sensitive patient and
organizational information Ensure compliance with HIPAA, applicable
data privacy regulations, contractual obligations, and internal
policies Manage enterprise applications, system integrations, and
technology platforms supporting business operations Lead IT risk
management activities, including audits, vulnerability assessments,
incident response, and disaster recovery planning Develop and
manage the IT budget, including forecasting, vendor contracts,
licensing, and cost controls Lead technology projects from planning
through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and minimal
disruption Ensure effective delivery of end-user support and
technology training across the organization Identify and recommend
technology improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and
service delivery Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information
Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent
relevant experience 5–7 years of progressive IT experience,
including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Experience managing IT systems, infrastructure, and end-user
support in a regulated or compliance-driven environment Hands-on
technical experience sufficient to evaluate system needs, staffing
adequacy, and vendor performance Working knowledge of cybersecurity
principles, data privacy standards, and regulatory compliance
(HIPAA preferred) Experience managing third-party vendors and
technology contracts Strong analytical, problem-solving, and
decision-making skills Excellent communication skills and the
ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical
stakeholders Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is a
primarily remote position requiring prolonged computer use and
virtual collaboration Ability to travel to Accessia Health offices
or vendor sites on an occasional, as-needed basis to support system
implementations, troubleshooting, audits, or organizational needs
Occasional lifting of materials up to 10 pounds may be required
