Our team provides IT services for systems engineering and information management systems to multiple major DoD programs. Each team member has opportunities to take on responsibilities according to their experience level and professional growth goals. This position supports an established contract developing mission-critical operations. Our customer’s framework continues to evolve. Evaluating, learning, and integrating new technologies will be a constant factor in this position. The responsibilities of this role include: Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions Write well-designed, testable code Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility Integrate software components into a fully functional software system Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures Comply with project plans and industry standards Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks Participate in the design of information and operational support systems Provide 2nd and 3rd level support Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem-resolution Requirements: Essential Skills and Experience 2-4 years of professional experience in software design, development, or engineering applied to program development and at least one of the following: modeling, simulation, or real-time systems BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Proven experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux-based environments. Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX) Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS Experience with virtualization and containerization Experience with monitoring systems Experience with automation software Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Python, JavaScript) Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) CompTIA Security certification or similar Contingent Work Eligibility Requirements U.S. citizen with currently active TS-SCI security clearance Clearance Level - Final Position Requirement Active TS-SCI Travel Required: No Potential for Telework: No About Us Here at Zekiah, our journey is about enhancing our warfighters’ superiority by developing and integrating forward-thinking communication and technology systems.
