Vehicles is hiring a Sr. Software Developer for a position at our
headquarters location in Richmond, VA. This is an advanced
technical position primarily developing applications on the E-Gov
Applications team. This position will be responsible for research,
integration, development and implementation of tools, technologies,
methods, and systems, which expand or enhance delivery of DMV
services directly to customers, employees, and business partners.
This will be done by interfacing traditional information systems to
the web and/or through a variety of alternative electronic channels
and access devices. The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles
(DMV), headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately
6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4
million registered vehicles. In addition, DMV serves a wide array
of businesses, including dealers, fuels tax customers, rental
companies, driving schools, other state agencies, local
governments, and non-profit organizations. DMV operates upon five

values, we live them! Minimum Qualifications • Experience with
development of applications and services, including design, coding,
testing, and deployment using .net technologies (VB, C#, asp.net,
ADO) • Experience in developing and supporting production systems
in an enterprise environment • Experience collaborating with
technical and non-technical teams to implement IT solutions •
Strong knowledge of developing database objects
(tables/views/stored procedures) in Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL •
Proficiency in managing source code with Azure Dev ops / TFS
Additional Considerations • Familiarity with DMV systems (intranet
applications, data exchanges/services) and e-commerce technologies.
• Knowledge of security protocols and best practices for
e-government applications. • Knowledge of and participation in
Agile/Kanban ceremonies (standup, refinement, prioritization, etc).
