Job Duties This role will specifically support the Community
Corrections modules within VirginiaCORIS. A background in Community
Corrections is essential as it requires this expertise. The
Information Technology Unit provides technology planning and
support to the Department to help ensure the successful
accomplishment of the Department’s mission. To plan, recommend,
test, and implement VirginiaCORIS applications and enhancements.
Serve as a liaison between DOC staff, the Information Technology
Unit, and the system vendor to ensure the successful implementation
of VirginiaCORIS. Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated experience
using multiple modules within VirginiaCORIS. Knowledge of the
criminal justice system and the DOC’s operating procedures. Ability
to interact with all levels of staff. Experience conducting
training classes for end users and to conduct software testing.
